Ziva Software is a pioneer in mobile search – it was the first mobile search engine developed in India. Ziva’s platforms were used by JustDial to launch its web and mobile search services in India in Jan 2007. Ziva’splatform powered Nokia’s local search service launched in Apr 2007. Since then, Ziva’s platforms have also been leveraged by several companies (such as Hindustan Times, Star TV, etc.). Ziva now works with majority of mobile operators in India and provides comprehensive mobile access and data services to mobile operators.

Ziva Software has always stayed ahead of the technology curve and to deal with the cutting-edge technologies. This has helped the company develop several innovative and patent-pending techniques to cater to the unique needs of mobile search/access; it has also helped the company work with new techniques such as Clojure programming language, NoSQLdatabases, etc.

Ziva Software was incubated at the prestigious IIM Bangalore. The company raised the first round of funding from Ojas Venture Partners in Apr 2008.
